The BOP project started in the autumn term 2014. Working closely with Mrs Emma Williams (Baden Powell Parental Engagement Officer/Communities First) we organised a Launch.

The BOP Launch took place on Friday 3^rd October 2014.

A number of organisations accepted the invitation to be part of our BOP Launch:-  Communities First, MEND,  Credit Union,  St Germans Church, Cardiff Housing Association, Women’s Aid, Cardiff City Football Club, Dance Fit Cardiff, Place2Be, Love Food Hate Waste, Women Connect First, Strengthening Families, FAST and U Learn College.

Refreshments were provided by the PTA,  Sainsburys and Starbucks. 

Parent volunteers ran a stall where the parents/family members were offered the opportunity to vote for activities they would like to see in school and what they would like to be offered for themselves.

The BOP Launch was a very enjoyable and successful morning which was well attended. It marked the start of a new way of working in the community.  

• To link our school, families and community together.
• To develop a place of learning for all.
• To  bring community parties together and provide our parents/family members with the opportunity to have a ‘voice’.
