The Amazing Dragon

The dragon stood on the castle wall,

His feet were huge, his head was tall,

He held the sheep within his claws,

And chomped at him with his strong jaws.

He started off with the sheep’s head,

And very soon the sheep was dead!

In the distance he heard a call,

So off he flew, proud and tall.

The call had come from the country’s king,

About a missing diamond ring,

The special ring was very old,

Or so the dragon had been told.

The ring was in the dragon’s tummy!

The dragon said it tasted yummy!

He poked the dragon with a stick,

And the vicious dragon was very sick.

One ring…covered in puke!

Cardiff Castle

Welcome Back! Croeso!

We find ourselves learning from home again, but this time I'm convinced that we can do it! We have been using Hwb every week since September. We have explored the things that we can do on the Google Classroom- I know that we can do it!

Our new topic is Cardiff Castle. Hopefully we will manage a trip there in the summer. Cardiff Castle is a fantastic piece of history right on our doorstep! Initially built by the Romans, but changed over the centuries by every new owner. I can't wait to explore the history of Cardiff Castle with you.

Mrs P

Week Beginning 7th September- we have been spending our imaginary lottery grant, learning to play hockey and practising our tables outdoors!

September 2020

Welcome back to school - we have missed you!

We have a busy year ahead, and lots of lovely learning activities to enjoy together.

You have missed a lot of school, but don't worry; we will do everything that we can to help you catch up. We will be using Hwb a great deal to make sure that you all know how to learn on Google Classroom. Our first topic is MacMillan. This is a very interesting challenge this year because of social distancing. We will be working together to plan and hold a virtual event instead. Could be tricky!!!

Mrs P

Year 6, we've wished you all good luck and said goodbye this week.

To remember us by, here is the video from the teachers with all their messages that you watched on Thursday.

If you would like to watch the End of Year PowerPoint, remember you can still log onto Google Classroom to watch it again, but you won't be able to comment or contact anyone!

Good luck and Goodbye Year 6! Love, Miss Williams, Mrs Proctor and Mr Mills

Monday 16th March

Please be aware that all spelling lists and other home learning will now be available on Google Classroom. This can be found on Hwb. We have been learning how to use this virtual classroom today. If you were away you may want to log in and have an explore. This could be a very useful resource in the coming weeks. So log on and send me a message.

September 2019

Welcome back to school! I'm really looking forward to working with you all this year.

Finally you are year 6: top of the school!

This half term our topic will be Coffee, Cake and Kindness. We will be planning and running a coffee morning for MacMillan (A cancer charity).

Library books and homework books will need to be returned on Monday mornings. P.E. kit will be needed on Tuesday. Children may wear their P.E. kit to school, but will need to bring their uniform to change into for hygiene purposes.

The park came to us today to celebrate the end of year six's time in Tredegarville. We had ice-cream, a picnic and lots of fun. Enjoy the photos!

On the 8th May some medical students came to talk to us about organ donation. They gave us a badge to remind us to talk to our families about it.

King Henry was the first to person to create the navy. Year 6 made Tudor boats and made sails with different size areas. They tested air resistance by blowing on the sails to find and found out which one moved the boat the quickest.
