Our Inquiry this half term is poetry based. We will be looking at the power words. We will be having a visit from a local poet- Conner Allen. Of course, we will be writing and reading lots of poetry in Welsh and English too! This Inquiry will culminate in the chairing of the Bard at the school Eisteddfod. Pob Lwc pawb!

Autumn 1 2023-2024
It's going to be a great term- I'm looking forward to meeting you all!
This half term we will be working to build relationships and create a happy learning community in our classroom. We will be setting up the systems and routines that will allow the children to become independent learners, and working to create an environment where every child can be their best selves.
Our Inquiry will be "What is true Equality?". We will be thinking about human rights and how people have fought to uphold them. We will be considering the Golden Rule, and the similarities between different faith teachings about how we should treat each other. We will use our ideas to explore and create art with the theme of Equality.
As part of Black History Month, The children will be engaging in their own Quest to explore and share the lives of black icons past and present.
Summer Term 2023
Wow, it's that last term for our year 6 children! How did time go so fast? Don't worry, there is still plenty to do to prepare for high school in September.
We will be carrying out an Inquiry into life in Tudor times, and we will be thinking about how our choices impact on our health and well being. We are looking forward to a trip to Llancaiach Fawr too.

After a very successful and enjoyable first half term in year 6, we are really looking forward to this half term.
Our Inquiry will be: "How are we governed?"
The children will be asking and answering questions about The Senedd, Parliament and the role of our new King. We are looking forward to a visit from our own local AM Jenny Rathbone. September 2022
Welcome Back- Croeso i dosbarth chwech!
Welcome to year 6! Can you believe that you are in your final year of primary school? It's amazing how time flies. You will be my 30th class at Tredegarville, and I can't wait to get to know you all.
Our first Inquiry will be "What is equality?", and we will be learning all about rights, the "golden rule" and people who have fought against racism. It is also Black History Month, so this will be the focus for your Quests.
Equality
This is a virtual exhibition of our artwork. It is based on our Inquiry, which has been all about The importance and meaning of equality.
