Welcome Back! Croeso!
We find ourselves learning from home again, but this time I'm convinced that we can do it! We have been using Hwb every week since September. We have explored the things that we can do on the Google Classroom- I know that we can do it!
Our new topic is Cardiff Castle. Hopefully we will manage a trip there in the summer. Cardiff Castle is a fantastic piece of history right on our doorstep! Initially built by the Romans, but changed over the centuries by every new owner. I can't wait to explore the history of Cardiff Castle with you.
Mrs P
September 2020
Welcome back to school - we have missed you!
We have a busy year ahead, and lots of lovely learning activities to enjoy together.
You have missed a lot of school, but don't worry; we will do everything that we can to help you catch up. We will be using Hwb a great deal to make sure that you all know how to learn on Google Classroom. Our first topic is MacMillan. This is a very interesting challenge this year because of social distancing. We will be working together to plan and hold a virtual event instead. Could be tricky!!!
Mrs P
Year 6, we've wished you all good luck and said goodbye this week.
To remember us by, here is the video from the teachers with all their messages that you watched on Thursday.
If you would like to watch the End of Year PowerPoint, remember you can still log onto Google Classroom to watch it again, but you won't be able to comment or contact anyone!
Good luck and Goodbye Year 6! Love, Miss Williams, Mrs Proctor and Mr Mills
Monday 16th March
Please be aware that all spelling lists and other home learning will now be available on Google Classroom. This can be found on Hwb. We have been learning how to use this virtual classroom today. If you were away you may want to log in and have an explore. This could be a very useful resource in the coming weeks. So log on and send me a message.

Happy Easter - Pasg Hapus
We have built a Tudor town using our knowledge of 3D shape nets. On the first day back we will be taking them to a local fire station to set fire to them safely! This will help us to write about the great fire of London, which happened just after the Tudor period.
Over the holidays, see what you can find out about the Great fire of London!

Here is the poem that year 6 are learning for the individual presentation at the school Eisteddfod on 8th March after half term. Practise it at home!!!
When I grow up
By Jojoba Mansell
When I grow up,
When I get old,
I’ll be a pirate,
Brave, fierce and bold.
I’ll have a ship,
With the fiercest crew.
I’ll have a blue parrot,
I’ll call him Blue!
I’ll wear a patch,
It’ll cover my eye.
From upon the mast,
Jolly Roger will fly.
My pirate name,
When quietly said,
Will fill many sailors,
Full of dread.
I’ll be feared,
From coast to coast.
Of all the treasure,
I’ll have the most.
But for now,
While still a child.
I’ll pretend I’m sweet,
Innocent and mild.
I’ll pretend to be,
The perfect kid.
Keeping pirate ways,
From my parents hid.
I’ll practise piracy,
But only by night.
Teddy will walk the plank,
And duel and fight.
For my ship,
A box I’ll borrow.
Oh I’ll be a pirate…
One bright tomorrow!
